Submission statement: what does this whole debacle say about Sam’s character?
Technically, he did follow the rules. He just found somebody who was a voice lookalike to Scarlett and used her voice.
What does it say about other consent issues, if Sam will follow the letter of the law but not the spirit? Can we trust him, or any single person, with something as high stakes as creating AIs that are smarter than us?
The voice sounds similar to Scarlett in that it’s a female.
It’s NOT Scarlett so why would he need her consent? It’s not a whole lot different than my wife’s voice too….should she sue?

The Brain dead pontification about voice similarity needs to stop or we’re going to have similarity ranges be part of intellectual property and having that be an overarching part of the law would destroy people’s lives.
Errr… the voice sounds nothing like Scarlett apart from the fact it was also a woman’s voice.
