JD Vance was caught lying about Haitian immigrants in his own state and was awarded the vp for it

    2. reddittorbrigade on

All Democrats need to do is to play it over and over again on campaign ads.

    3. OneMoreAstronaut7 on

Can someone just please drop JD Vance off at Bob’s Discount Furniture and leave him there?

    4. If he keeps saying it often enough even though there’s 100% video evidence his MAGA uneducated cult followers will believe him

    5. henningknows on

Fortunately for Trump and the Republicans, trump supporters can watch the video of him saying he doesn’t care about Americans, then Trump can tell them he never said it, and they will believe him. That is where we are with these people.

    6. Fortunately for Veep, the cult doesn’t care and will never see the video anyways.

    7. It will just be claimed to be fake video. If they don’t like it, it’s a hoax/fake. Every. Single. Time.

    8. Over and over, we’ve caught him lying about inconvenient, pointless things.

How could we ever trust him if he said, for example, we needed to suspend voting, or that a political opponent was a felon or terrorist, or that we need to go to war.

      He has zero credibility.

    9. God news orgs are so pathetic

“Well unlucky for Vance we have it on video” he he he

These people don’t care. They have no morals and will do whatever it takes to “win”. And our news media is either complicit or too fucking ignorant to understand that.

Trump and JD Vance are the worst our country has ever had, and they’ve caused generational damage. Also, Republicans with Trump alone have added over 30% of our national debt.

    11. Next, JD Vance insists he never insisted Trump never said he doesn’t care about Americans

    12. Toastfuker1 on

MAGA is absolutely going to try and rerun the ‚good people on both sides‘ cover for trump. It’s all they really know how to do. 🙈🙉🙊

    13. False_Ad_5372 on

How is this “unfortunate” for Vance? Are there going to be, like, consequences for blatantly lying to the American people, or something?!

    14. ArtichokeAware7342 on

That doesn’t matter for shit. You show him the video then he’ll say, well what trump actually meant was… guy is a giant fucking turd and makes me so embarrassed that he’s also a Marine.

    15. letsgorangers12345 on

There may be video but you can bet your ass you won’t see it on Fox or Newsmax.

    16. dr_frahnkunsteen on

Did anyone think to, I dunno, *show him the video??*

That should just be standard operating procedure for all reporters. Trump (or anyone) says something insane and we have it on tape, and you, the reporter, are planning to ask him or someone else a question about that insane thing, so you preload the recording of the insane thing on your phone and when they inevitably lie about it or say they are unaware of it then you *show it to them* and see how they wriggle out of it. We have the technology.

    17. Wackity-Smackity on

He’s said he doesn’t care about Americans several times at this point

    18. Perfect_Opposite2113 on

I’ve been hearing the soundbite of Trump saying it all day on local radio here Edmonton Alberta.

    19. DoubleBroadSwords on

This is the scariest shit when they deny what we all saw and heard with our own eyes and ears.

    20. Epistatious on

its all a simple missunderstanding, trump didn’t mean to say, „He doesn’t care about Americans“, he meant to say, „He’d never cared about Americans“. that was the whole joke of maga, sounds like some people weren’t in on the irony?

    21. To fascists, lying is not an act of deception, it is an act of dominance. It is their declaration that they are afforded the privilege of defining reality.

Reject the evidence of your eyes and ears, etc. etc.

    22. Virtual-Squirrel-725 on

The is the first responsibility on every administration official’s job description.

      * convince Americans that what Trump said isn’t what he actually said.

    23. grateful2you on

It’s not about the truth anymore. It hasn’t been for a while. It’s about who can repeat the lie more often and more loudly. It’s gotten them this far. And it seems to be the prevailing strategy today.

    24. Accomplished-Watch50 on

This is the guy who said the price of eggs wasn’t as high as the media was portraying while standing in front of high priced eggs.

    25. VVOLFVViZZard on

Also JD Vance (paraphrasing): If I have to make shit up to get Trump’s dumbfuck supporters to justify their blind hatred for brown people, then that’s what I’m going to do.

    26. stunneddisbelief on

Does JD also believe that if he closes his eyes nobody can see him because he can’t see them?

    27. anthonyskigliano on

And unfortunately for everyone, none of these people face any consequences.

    28. Choice-of-SteinsGate on

Mike Johnson says he needs more context, and JD Vance is once again insisting that Trump’s words are being deliberately misinterpeted.

Oh, Vance also blamed Biden for our current predicament.

These sniveling little sycophants better be held accountable at some point for enabling Trump and making excuses for him time and time again.

That said, here’s some extra context for you:

Trump’s war is wreaking a devastating toll on Americans and he couldn’t care less.

While in office, Biden was forced to deal with a clusterfuck of economic crises that were largely (not fully) out of his control.

With Trump on the other hand, there is a direct causal link tying his policies and decision making to our current situation.

Trump is responsible for the worst global energy crisis in modern history, and these world wide trade disruptions and production setbacks will also cause the price of food and other goods and services to rise on top of already skyrocketing gas prices.

Trump’s war also comes with a massive pricetag for the American taxpayer.

And to make matters worse, the Trump administration is looking to secure nearly $1.5 TRILLION in military/defense spending, which they plan to offset by cutting funding for domestic programs.

Americans are facing financial difficulties because of Trump’s failed policies at home too.

Like his tariff and trade policies which have passed costs down to consumers in the form of a regressive tax that is disproportionately raising costs for low income, working class, and poor Americans and families.

Policies that have led to higher prices all around while causing trade wars and hurting domestic industries.

While Americans are being squeezed financially from every side, Trump is using taxpayer money for personal vanity projects and is suing his own government for a hefty taxpayer funded payout for damages to his fragile ego.

The inflation rate has just climbed to 3.8%—the highest in three years.

Prices are now rising considerably faster than wages.

Trump promised to „bring manufacturing back“ to America, but the US has lost nearly 100,000 manufacturing jobs since Trump returned to office.

Under Biden, the US saw four straight years of job growth, but in 2025 alone, there were five total months of job losses.

Trump has also weakened our global alliances and has strained our relationships with trading partners.

China is filling the void left by the US and is becoming a more reliable economic ally for other countries who are now turning to them for trade.

Meanwhile, America’s trade deficit is only growing.

Take note also that Trump’s policies were exploding the debt and deficit before this war even started.

His big beautiful bill extended huge tax breaks and incentives for the rich and corporations at the expense of millions of Americans access to healthcare, food assistance, and the social safety net.

Studies show that without Trump’s tariffs, the inflation rate would have returned to pre-pandemic levels.

Income and wealth disparities are MOUNTING. Trump is doing fuck all to address affordability issues and rampant economic inequality.

In fact, income inequality has just reached a 60-year peak.

Trump’s policies have also allowed for the top 1% of stockholders to own more assets than the bottom 99%.

So whenever you here Trump brag about the value of the stockmarket, he’s really just acknowledging that the rich are getting richer while most Americans are struggling to make basic ends meet.

The US dollar is also weakening against other currencies and goodsm

Trump is making housing less affordable for first time buyers and renters in favor of serving the interests of the richest homeowners and investors.

He’s also accepting lavish gifts, bribes, investments and donations from foreign governments, CEOs and corporate executives, pro-Trump benefactors, right-wing tech oligarchs, and overseas monarchs who are all seeking political and economic favors in return.

Trump’s sons are pursuing lucrative business deals through Daddy’s influence. Hunter Biden’s cash flow was insignificant in comparison to Don Jr’s and Eric’s.

Trump is transforming the government into something resembling an authoritarian kleptocracy by concentrating financial power and resources into the hands of the few while the rest of us plebs suffer under the economic tyranny of his regime.

Trump and his allies claim that he’s ushering in the „Golden Age“ of America.

No, he’s ushering in the greatest redistribution of wealth in a generation, a second „gilded age“ if you will.

Sadly, his supporters don’t understand the difference between the two because it would require a basic knowledge of US history.
