    1. Vote the dude out. He’s clearly on the ‚wrong‘ team. So, let him run to be a Republican then.

    2. Night_Shift_Grumbler on

Pennsylvania voters disapprove of the Iran strikes by 16 points. Fetterman voted against the resolution anyway. Trump’s favorite Democrat indeed.

    3. Singlehandedly with 49 republicans? Dude’s basically not a Democrat and the media is *still* like „how can Democrats do this???“

    4. barneyrubbble on

*It should come as no surprise that Fetterman was the sole Democrat to vote against the measure, as he’s expressed outspoken support for acting against Iran, which he called “the real enemy, the real threat, the real danger.”*

No, motherfucker, you and your fascist buddies are the real threat. You’re fucking us harder than Iran is/was by a long shot.

    5. Single-Handedly if you don’t count the other 40+ who helped him. He is an asshole for sure and a progressive traitor, but lets not hang ALL the blame on his thick neck

No more Trojan Horse Democrats, please!

Let’s do a better job of vetting the candidates we get behind in the future

    7. SubstantialMojo on

He has nothing to lose because he plans to retire in 2028 after switching to republican in a few months

    8. Sweet_Concept2211 on

Absolving 100% of Senate Republicans and claiming one Democrat did this shit all by himself is why the „BoTh SiDeZ“ narrative will never die, even though it is largely bullshit.

    9. Fetterman needs to be removed from office. He doesn’t represent the people that put him in office.

    10. LeonardSmallsJr on

At this point he might as well say “I got paid $X for this vote.” At least we’d know how much we need to crowdfund to flip it.

    11. Well after Bill Maher sucked him off this weekend I wouldn’t doubt he is feeling even more right than ever. These guys suck!

    12. ExpressPlankton on

No, any of the other GOP senators that voted against reining him in are just as culpable. Any one of them could have gone against this shit. Don’t let them get away with it by just pinning blame on Fetterman.

    13. „single handedly“ actually means „joins nearly every republican“

      Fuck these headlines

    14. Fetterman did not „single-handedly“ do this. It was Republicans and Fetterman who did this. I don’t know how Fetterman thinks he’ll get elected again. Democrats will not vote for him. And Republicans I don’t think will vote for him. Fetterman doesn’t seem to have a problem letting down all the people who went out to vote for him.

The political spectrum is not a line it is a circle, Far Right and Far Left are right next to each other.

    16. Constituents should be able to call for a vote of confidence if congress members start voting against the party they ran for. This is legit criminal.

    17. Could have had Conor Lamb …

Honestly, it still chaps my ass that Conor Lamb was thrown away for being „too establishment“ vs Fetterman during that primary.

    18. bareback_cowboy on

Let’s not give him all the credit. There were 49 other senators that could have voted the other way too. Yeah, he’s a scumbag, but so are the other 49 that he voted with.

    19. I know everyone is angry at Ferrterman for being PoS, and he is, but let me be a bucket of cold water.

This resolution was never going to pass.

Look at the list of Republicans who voted with the Democrats. Rand Paul (R-KY), Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), and Susan Collins (R-ME). Both Murkowski and Collins trade off „voting against their party“ So they can pretend to be moderate. But only when it conveniently it doesn’t change the outcome. Collins in particular is up for re-election is in a tough race against Graham Platner. She needs every chance she can get to pretend to be moderate.

If Fetterman had voted with Democrats, one of those three would have almost certainly voted with Republican to stop the measure. Most likely Murkowski.

    20. And this is why people need the right to recall federally elected representatives of their states.

    21. Does anyone have a sense of how Fetterman’s staffers have handled his Republican transformation?

Did they quit and have to hire others? Are they just as wacky as him? Do they rollover because he signs their paychecks?

I’d be interested to learn more.

His TBI/Stroke provides some explanation to his own behavior but I’d be curious how those around him have handled the change.

    22. GgAllinsButthole on

I remember when conservatives used to hate on this guy. Called him brain dead. Stupid. All sorts of mean things.

Now they seem to love him. Weird how that works.

    23. Single handedly? I do believe there is a conga line of Republican sycophants that would beg to differ.

When they are allowed to speak of course.

    24. af_cheddarhead on

I’m no fan of the turn Fetterman has made but it took the assistance of 49 Republicans to tank the bill.

    25. OverEasyGoing on

Has there ever been a more obvious example of conservatism being explained by underdeveloped or trauma/brain damage?

    26. shelbys_foot on

Fetterman and 49 Republicans. Not to excuse what he’s done, but it wasn’t Single-Handedly.

    27. MyEvilTwinSkippy on

While Fetterman deserves the crap he’s catching, headlines like this unfairly let the 49 Republicans who also voted against this bill off the hook.
