      No shit.

We call these people “useful idiots”

The enemy of your enemy is not your friend.

It’s hilarious how anti-govt these people are, and then they opt to be influenced by other govts. Same kind of folks that complain about a Census, but then carry a smart phone that collects more info for profit in a minute than a Census would ever capture every 5 years.

Canadian federal government being influenced by left wing European bleeding heart policies and direct Chinese political interference is the much bigger issue

    4. Russians, MAGA, likely Saudis, Iranians… basically everyone oil.

Trudeau was also something many people could rally against hating in Alberta and later, all of Canada. Carney is much less divisive. I think separationism rhetoric took awhile to manifest, but is originally more Trudeau-era rather than present. You’d probably have triple the lineups if Trudeau was still in.

Like big fucking surprise. Of course it is. Same as MAGA in America being heavily influenced by offshore elements.

    6. Not sure if its frightening or funny that these morons fall for these people!!

    7. It’s unreal to me that in the age of technology and the internet we’ve forgotten about the propaganda machines that are governments… like read a book, look at the history of war… there is a lot of money to be made off influence. Why do you think all these celebrities sell their souls for mindfulness and prayer apps… if you don’t teach your populace to be self reflecting and critical you are cooked… look at america those kids can’t even read any more, you think they can vote intelligently lool…..

It’s literally how you end up with a Donald Trump in office twice… straight bamboozled the whole uneducated, disenfranchised white middle/lower class all to pad the pockets of the oligarchs lmfao…

    8. The worst part is that they are aware but don’t care. It’s the whole „I’d rather be Russian than a Democrat“ mentality coming to Canada.

This seems to invite more questions of who is backing Danielle, and who she supports, considering her obvious lack of action on this, and the voting registry file, as compared to Edmonton voting maps or LGBTQ students.

This absolves Albertans too much. It’s like they can’t think for themselves.

This has been happening for decades now. It ramped up in 2015 when the Liberals took power. It ramped up again during COVID, and for the convoy, for the separatists…etc etc…
These „influencers“ (ie bad actors/propagandists) ruined the discourse on our public forums, forced CBC.ca to basically close public comments and turned every other Canadian social media space into a cesspool of disinformation…
      Enough is enough.

„This is not because Alberta’s grievances are illegitimate. They are not. Albertans have real and long-standing concerns about energy policy, federal–provincial relations, and economic fairness within Confederation. Those concerns deserve to be debated openly and democratically by Canadians, among themselves, on their own terms. The danger is who has joined the debate and why.“

This is why this approach is pervasive and effective. They take real issues, amplify division and twist them. Debate is good but when its fueled by foreign actors, its to the detriment of all Canadians.

Everyone thought this messaging would stop DT and it backfired – if you have solid proof of this, CSIS and Public Safety need to immediately start arresting people.

Until then, they will be successful in their disruptions.

    15. Yeah no shit.

Any reputable pollster has the actual support for independence at incredible lows.

And that guy from the Netherlands,he’s making tons of bank offers of it.

    17. It is really interesting seeing Russia and USA working together on this.

Seems like they are friends, just because the same goal in Canada.

The kremlin playbook has been activated in USA for over a decade now. It is currently in the early stages in Canada as well.
