No way! I wonder what they mean by “global music show” and “new media environment.” Either way, I’m excited to have it back

    3. Aw, I’ve missed The Show! I always appreciated it for letting smaller groups get a chance to perform and even win. Looking forward to this!

    8. If i had a nickel for every music show that was said to be cancelled last year just for it to come back this year because it was never actually cancelled and it was just an extended break with some changes i would have 2 nickels

i saw a post from a girl in a nugu girl group this week talking about the bureaucracy to join music shows, especially when famous groups are promoting and i am glad such shows are available for them to promote together with simply kpop. she was talking about how the slots are limited to about 12 slots at most. and when for example this month when every group at hybe is promoting, big 3 groups, plus groups from mid size companies like inkode, the small groups end up vying for like 2 spots which need money to secure because of middlemen etc. she also talks about the costs to put up a production i.e props and how many groups can’t afford that. i will try to link the video here it was very insightful.

    12. Seems like BIGC is heavily involved. They already posted the new logo in the same font and stylization as their logo. They’ve previously produced and hosted free streams and paid streams for Hanteo Music Awards and concerts such as ARTMS respectfully, which in my experience have been pretty solid. They also hosted voting for ENA K-Pop Up Chart Show in 2025, so I’m speculating they’ll use their platform business for the voting here. Hopefully it doesn’t change much in terms of criteria as The Show has been historically great for smaller groups.

    13. Simply Kpop came back a few weeks ago and now The Show is coming back too?! I couldn’t be happier

In other words, it’s coming back along with Arirang TV’s „Simply Kpop“. It’s good to see the two music shows getting a fresh new life following its respective initial cancellations.

    15. Glad to see the lesser known groups have their platform/music show back. And for many big groups now, it’s here where they got their first taste of winning, so happy to see the tradition continue.
