The Republican President literally demanded that an army base return to being named after a mediocre Confederate general (Bragg) who even Jefferson Davis fired, because he was so desperate to make a political statement against DEI. Now, they are working to bring back elements of Jim Crow with suppression and exclusion.

So, as it turned out, defenestrating Diversity, Equity and Inclusivity initiatives was not based under the premise of meritocracy, but rather segregation and subjugation.
