Literally just had a young apprentice working with me last week whos application has been in for 10 months with little guidance in what to expect .

He joined a online forum and of the 10 people that put applications in at the same time , 5 are still waiting for answers and 5 have moved on to other things.

I wouldn’t call it a success if we have tribal infighting and a clear lack of western values displayed in **officer training**. Then we’re hearing of recruits that dont even have a handle on one of the official languages. If we’re getting such terrible candidates, then clearly the standards have been lowered too much.

“When people see that the world is not as safe, that their country might be at risk… we tend to see people join the military,“ she said.”

When she says “their country” does she refer also to the recruits that are not citizens and can’t speak either of the two official language fluently. They maybe be permanent residents but they are not Canadians. The military lowered the entry bar. It should not be seen as a success when every Tom Rick Harry and Nancy suddenly joins. Our military is going to be seen as a joke if we haven’t already been.

    6. It’s literally just that the unemployment rate (especially among the youth) is really high, plus I believe they raised the base salaries in the Canadian forces
