**MEDICAL CONCERNS ABOUT PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP AND HIS FITNESS FOR OFFICE**

The following is not a political statement.
It is a medical one, made by individuals
      holding both conservative and liberal
      ideologies, identifying as both Republicans
      and Democrats, from different backgrounds,
      races, ethnicities, and religions.

We are a group of neurologists, forensic
      psychiatrists, general psychiatrists, and
other physicians, along with other mental
health professionals, experienced in the diagnosis of cognitive disorders and in evaluating
dangerousness to self and others. Among us
are professionals whom the courts and criminal justice system regularly turn to for our
expert opinion on these matters. We are also
consulted by governments in matters related
to national security and the psychological
profiles of world leaders. Prior to the presidential election in the Fall of 2024, a statement assessing Donald J. Trump’s mental
fitness for the presidency was issued. At that
time, serious signs of cognitive decline were
identified, and in our expert opinion, these
      signs warranted disqualification from office.

It is our professional opinion, based on previous and ongoing assessments, that Donald
Trump’s mental state since our 2024 statement has deteriorated even further. In keeping with our professional ethics, and for
those of us who are physicians, with the Declaration of Geneva—the successor to the Hippocratic Oath that binds us to the humanitarian principles of medicine since the Nuremberg trials—we are compelled to warn of a
President of the United States who is increasingly a danger to the public.

We do not take our statement, and the responsibility that comes with making it,
      lightly.

The President was not examined face to
face, and he is not a patient of any member
of our group. Rendering a formal diagnosis in
this case is not our role. We have closely followed his behavior and his statements over
      the past year.

      Objectively observable signs of serious
      medical concern include:

Marked deterioration in cognitive functioning, evidenced by disorganized and tangential speech, rambling digressions, factual
      confusions, unexplained sudden changes of
course in strategic matters, both national
and international, episodes of apparent somnolence during critical public proceedings.

      Grandiose and delusional beliefs, including
assertions of infallibility, imagery of himself
as Pope suggestive of a divine mission, being
a mythical warrior hero, depicting himself as
      combat pilot—dropping feces on civilians,
and claims that his decision-making authority is unlimited—with no need to consider
domestic and international laws and constrained only by his ‘‘own morality.’’

      Severely impaired judgment and impulse
control, reflected in reckless threats of violence, advocacy of lethal force against civilians, encouragement of extrajudicial actions
by armed supporters, repeated threats and
      often actions—judicial, prosecutorial, police,
military, and by invoking emergency powers—against political opponents and others
      who disagree with him.

      Significant loss of self-control
(disinhibition) and getting stuck on the same
thoughts or actions, unable to let go or move
on (perseveration), including seemingly compulsive, manic-like late-night communications—e.g., 150 social media posts in one
night—fixation on perceived enemies, persecutory ideas, and prolonged, disproportionate attacks on specific individuals and
      institutions.

Escalating violence that threatens national and global stability. As Commander-in-Chief of our military—more than 5,000 nuclear warheads in inter-continental missile
silos, on submarines, and in bombers around
the world, are ready for launch solely upon
his order, and no one now has the authority
      to countermand his order.

On August 7, 1974, as President Richard
      Nixon’s impeachment loomed, White House
Chief of Staff, General Alexander Haig, was
so alarmed by Nixon’s wandering the halls of
the White House at night, sleepless, distraught, and heavily intoxicated, talking out
loud to portraits of past presidents on the
walls, that he alerted Defense Secretary
James Schlesinger. Equally alarmed, Schlesinger directed Chairman of the Joint Chiefs
of Staff, General George S. Brown, that any
military orders from Nixon—especially nuclear ones—first be cleared through him or
Secretary of State Henry Kissinger. It has
been reported that the nuclear ‘‘football’’
that contains the codes for a nuclear launch
was then quietly removed from Nixon’s control.

The public and those with the power to address such potentially catastrophic conditions must ask themselves if they—and we—
are confident that officials such as Secretary
of Defense Pete Hegseth and Secretary of
State Marco Rubio would do the same.
It is our professional opinion that the behaviors of Donald Trump, tragically, are neither momentary lapses nor political theater.
It is our professional opinion that they reflect a rapidly worsening, reality-untethered, increasingly dangerous decline.
If we were called upon under the 25th
Amendment to judge the President’s present
ability to discharge the duties of his office,
we would have to conclude that he lacks the
      capacity to do so.

For the reasons cited above, emphasizing
that he presents a clear and present danger
to our country and to the world, it is our expert opinion that Donald J. Trump is mentally unfit to be the President of the United
States, and that steps to remove him from
office must be undertaken with the greatest
urgency, with vital responsibilities on the
shoulders of those in positions of leadership.

    2. Republicans don’t listen to medical experts, they listen to people with brain damage like RFK Jr.

    3. >*Members of the group hold both conservative and liberal ideologies and are from different backgrounds, races, ethnicities and religions, the letter said. Rhode Island Sens. Sheldon Whitehouse and Jack Reed, both Democrats, submitted the letter into the congressional record last week.*

Timely, but even better if they could have added a GOP senator (impossible, you say) to present the letter to congress.

    4. Billions of people around the globe have known this for a long time.

Let’s stop talking hypotheticals and start talking action.

    5. Bishopjones2112 on

How about the president does a live stream cognitive test with four doctors independent to the system, two able to be chosen from each party, to remain in office 3 of 4 must say evaluate the president as a solid pass. See how this goes.

    6. The sad thing is 77m thought a brain-damaged crook is a ‚businessman‘

What does that say about US capitalism

    7. InspectionIcy2452 on

If anybody listened to „medical experts“ you wouldn’t have RFKJr running HHS.    These days being a „medical expert“ and $6.50 will get you a cafe latte grande at Starbucks.

    8. XcuseMeMisISpeakJive on

He’s unfit in every sense of the word but it doesn’t seem to matter if you’re a Republican.  It only matters if you’re a Democrat

    9. The_Frostweaver on

It sounds alarmist but it’s actually reasonable.

I don’t like JD Vance, but I’m a lot less worried he will nuke Iran.

I’m a licensed clinical mental health practitioner who has experience with both personality disorders and end of life care. I’m in complete agreement with said experts.

I’m a therapist working in inpatient settings. Trump 2.0 is like watching one of my patients become president.

My job is not necessarily to heal or treat, it’s more a monitoring responsibility to make sure they don’t harm themselves or others.

Terrifying to see one of them in charge of allegedly the most powerful country/military in the world. Good luck to us all, it’s over.

Republicans cultists will keep the cult figure in place for as long as they can. It’s not a coincidence that a gold statue has been raised just as the guy’s physical body is clearly failing.

So, it’ll be some medical reason that he is kept out of sight as the worried evangelical leadership considers next moves, and how to keep Shady Vance out of sight.

    13. People don’t seem to understand that what Trump is doing aligns is with Project 2025 and what major Republican donors want. So while Trump is a problem, he’s really not driving the ship.

    14. Character-Badger-910 on

It’s wild that 36 doctors had to risk their careers just to say what millions of us have been screaming into the void for years.

I’m no proctologist, but I know an asshole when I see one.

      And that’s an asshole.

    16. Solonohioperson on

Trump is mentally unfit to be anything. He’s never had a regular job and could never get one based on any of his skills or talents unless the job was child raper or grifting and criming. He’s never been in a relationship or friendship based on love , acceptance, or respect and wouldn’t know how to; everything is a transaction to benefit himself. He’s never been able to get sex based on love, trust, or likeablity; he has to rape or pay for it. He is a person that is unfit for society. If he were your grandpa or crazy uncle, you would be trying to get him into prison or assisted care or you would go no contact.

    17. Choice-of-SteinsGate on

Perhaps another emergency „cognitive test“ is in order?

So he can brag about allegedly passing another dementia exam, then go back to running the country like an unhinged lunatic and threatening to decimate entire populations of people after starting a foreign war under false pretenses while his doctors and staff insist he’s in „perfect“ mental and physical shape.

Keep in mind that the exams he constantly brags about taking are only administered when there’s a serious concern about mental decline.

Exams that he claims he’s taken multiple times since returning to office, even though they’re rarely administered so frequently.

The same kind of „tests“ that ask you to identify commonly known animals from their drawings, remember words and numbers, and draw clocks…

[Here’s a video titled „We Tried Trump’s Cognitive Test“](https://youtu.be/eoyn48iqS7A?si=TkxcbFfbvUvGnnvT), which should give you a better idea of what I’m talking about.

The fact that he boasts about „passing“ these assessments while often confusing them with IQ exams is an indicator of senility in itself.

This is also why he’s become so obsessed with calling others „low IQ people;“ indicating that he actually believes he’s a „high IQ person,“ which is beyond absurd.

And he has no reason to believe otherwise because he thinks his IQ is being tested when he’s asked to memorize five words.

The sort of irony of it all is that this kind of deranged behavior is symptomatic of „low IQ“ and „cognitive decline.“

Whatever it is that’s ailing him, let’s acknowledge that Trump has been behaving and speaking erratically, slurring his words, misremembering things, and going off on deranged tangents during interviews, speeches and press conferences for a while now.

Not to mention him threatening *twice* now to commit war crimes against an entire civilization. So much for „liberating“ the people…

Then there’s his increasing amount of rambling emotional tirades on social media.

His unintelligible, stream of consciousness babbling that he refers to as „the weave.“

His mouth going slack and his constant falling asleep in front of cameras, which his groveling little lackeys in the administration downplay to their own embarrassment, even calling it an „active listening“ technique… *eye roll*

Maybe you remember or not, but Trump and his press team actually tried to brush it off once in a post that said he was merely closing his „beautiful blue eyes“ to „listen intensely, and take it ALL in!!!“. They should all have their mental faculties tested.

Don’t forget the times Trump couldn’t even remember the names of countries that he supposedly helped end wars between, either mispronouncing them or forgetting which countries were in conflict with each other.

There’s also his frequent trips to Walter Reed, his mysterious bruising and reports of spontaneous health exams.

And all the while, his allies, doctors and sniveling sycophants are maintaining that he’s the „perfect specimen.“

I know many of us must be frustrated with the hypocrisy of it all after these same people absolutely scorched the Biden administration for „covering up“ his old age and cognitive decline. It goes beyond a double standard, beyond a „the emperor has no clothes“ moment. It’s the kind of bootlicking, gaslighting, and subservience you’d expect from Kim Jong Un’s inner circle.

Every day I long onto social media I see the same fucking headlines every single time and nothing ever changes. It’s like a wheel just meandering down a neverending hill never gaining speed, never being noticed. Nothing changes. Something always happens, nobody ever does a fucking thing.

    19. HowManyEggs2Many on

The people with the power to remove him literally do not care. They’d let his corpse sit in chair for the next 7 months if they had to.

    20. -Casey-Diaz- on

He’s never been mentally fit for any kind of responsibility. Yet no one will ever do anything to stop him. The Epstein elite is in total control of the USA, and Trump is their figurehead.

I think we need an age limit on presidency. I’m tired of all these old ass, mentally incapable presidents
