    1. >How many Koreans like Trump though?

Very few. Moderate conservatives don’t even like trump. He’s been bad for business with his tariffs on Korean companies, threatening the Korea US alliance and arresting our Hyundai workers last year

The only reason those far right idiots tolerate him is because they think he’s going to spring yoon from prison. I doubt trump even knows yoon exists

Those traitors are a loud minority because they have no political backing. The conservatives are hovering around a 15% approval rating and are slated to get wiped out in the local elections next month, even right wing strongholds like Daegu are in play

Literally everyone else here hates trump. A lot of people here talk about something that I’m not allowed to repeat here

They tend to be conspiracy idiots and evangelicals, same as the Trump support in the US, thankfully they make up a much smaller group in Korea than the US, anyone supporting the US at this point has lost the plot.

Trump literally put Hyundai workers in chains in Georgia! It’s sad even that crazy minority still likes Trump.

    4. They belong to the cult churches such as the Unification Church. The cult churches support the right wing People Power Party and have ties to the US government and the intelligence agencies. Donald Trump son was seen „preaching“ in one of the churches.

That’s kinda a neat umbrella… sucks that these fascist fucks have claimed it as one of their symbols.

These MAGA rallies are from Christian groups.

Social Media algorithms in Korea tends to promote far-right ideology for the Christians, and it’s a big problem.

Even if Christians don’t look for far-right videos, they show up into their Youtube feed anyways.

It’s reported by 국민일보 (well-known, moderate conservative, christian newspaper) and I recommend you to read it. Internet Browser’s auto translate seems to work fine.

Those people act as if they own Gwanghwamun. Most people are not dissatisfied with their current situation, so they have no reason to take to the streets. You know what I mean.

    8. These are Korean MAGAs. Their last 2 presidents were impeached, and their last 3 presidents are in jail. That should tell you enough about them.

    9. I’ve seen way more anti Trump stuff (including signs) than pro Trump stuff in SK.

    10. they are a vocal minority. 99% of people aren’t like that, though us koreans tend to have a somewhat positive view due to their help during and after the korean war

    11. as a korean these ppl are usually some elderly far-right conspiracy theorists(that are often fiercely against lgbtq rights too) or conservative activists from younger generation, they really be supporting trump like hes jesus or something

We all know Trump supporters are generally very stupid people. Some are profoundly stupid in all ways, some are mostly functional but delusional in some more specific way. Amazingly, Yoon Againers are even stupider than Trumpers. They are stupid to the bone. Unfixably stupid. The type who couldn’t figure out how to pour water out of a boot with the instructions written on the sole.

There’s a difference between antivex MAGA Idiots and being conservative, right? Same goes for Korea. People holding an American flag with Korean flags at a rally… they are either old people from cult churches(70~) or not exactly a well functioning member of society. Lot of politically conservative people disassociate with that bunch.
To answer your question, how many Koreans like Trump? The answer is, EVERY single one of them dislike him except people in that rally. Because one, he is not our president. He doesn’t work for us. Why would we like him? And second, why would anybody like him? Lol…
Those rallys are certainly embarrassing but it’s kinda entertaining if you think about it. Like some sort of comedic skit. So… enjoy it?

They had a little march through Myeongdong and I got the absolute pleasure of witnessing it on my way back from Namsan, took me a little bit to actually figure out what they where protesting for/against but my god it was funny how pathetic it was

    16. Ok-Calligrapher-8652 on

Support for Trump is minor but very, very visible. Everything left of far-right is neutral or negative towards Trump, or even Yoon to that matter, but the far-right are often the most visible.
