Dug out with a machine, and rolled into „sods“ by a machine, as per tradition…

Thanks for the climate change. It’s ignorant pricks like you that are destroying our environment for your own personal gain.

That’s actually not a bad gig.

Our bog was so out of the way that we couldn’t safely get the cattle trailer to the bank. So, multiple trips of bags on the hay lifter were required. Now, this created no shortage of risk with sinkage, because the Ford 5000 was arguably in danger of getting quite literally bogged down, so this intrepid and infinitely useful 12-year-old would  sit on the bonnet of the tractor to create a ballast of sorts. Anyone who would’ve looked at this would’ve seen a small boy riding the front of a tractor like a rodeo cowboy. I can still feel the surge of anxiety in the pit of my stomach as the front wheels would rare up, and I used every physics calculation I could to offset near–tragedy.

  8. There’s three subjects that elicits rage in the average r/ireland user: travellers, teenage boys and turf cutters. I’d love to see a post about a teenage traveller boy cutting turf, the sub would explode.

Forty million euro worth exported yearly, despite commercial cutting being illegal. Hmmm.

  10. 30% of our bogs left and these lads think they are class, actually digging up and burning the country. Plant a few birch trees?…. nah, I’d prefer to literally burn the country until tis all gone.

Yeahhhhh. The destruction of our natural environment.

Isn’t it great when we destroy stuff that will never be replaced.

  12. Lot of air pollution, strokes, dementia and lung cancer right there.

I’ll accept the inevitable downvotes but you know it’s true.
