    1. This is one of those „how many facepalms will it take to express my disappointment“ moments. Imagine being a lawyer and being asked to file this.

    2. Lol. These people are no more pathetic than when they are in court and legally bound to answer the question of a judge under threat of contempt and potential disbarment. When they can’t lie without losing their legal profession, they fold on their ridiculous claims and admit that they are stupid Trumped up charges.

How many tens of thousands of dollars and court time was wasted on this frivolous bullshit? Sickening.

Whoever would have thought that there would be this many clowns in the clown car?

    5. Another concern should be how long before somewhat honest judges are forced out or arrested for being not gop White Right enough?

I’m expecting this with the grand jury testimony in the SPLC case. The sheer amount of lying in court by the government is unprecedented and unconscionable.

this is my comment where i pretend the american justice system was respectable at some point

    8. I’m sure there was a time when the DOJ issued a statement you could assume that even if it turned out to be wrong it was made in good faith.

That time seems to be well behind us and it will take a lot to get back there again.

This is such a bizarre situation. Everyone understands exactly what his implication was, but a ton of people are being like „but he didn’t say it explicitly, actually, he just said what to do IF“. As if that’s respectable?

Like yeah Kelly, they all are told that in boot camp. What prompted you to remind them? At least have the balls to own what you were getting at.

    10. How much other justice is delayed and how much money is wasted on this bullshit?

The fact we’re at this stage, is a testament to the sheer stupidity and depravity of this administration. No different than the lawsuit against Comey. They get the headline „win“ that they’re doing these things, but as soon as it encounters the real world in a court room, it goes up on smoke. Then they’ll just move on to the next cockamamie idea to win the headline for that day. Rinse and repeat.

    12. Anyone with a few working brain cells who saw the video knew that they never said legal orders.

    13. Funny how republicans claim that Democrats weaponise the justice system against their enemies.
This is a perfect example of abuse of power and disrespecting the rule of law

They are going to bow out before strong enough precedence so they can do it again to other veterans for speaking out. We need to show them it’s. It going to work. For every veteran that gets hit, 5 need to step up. It’s part of the oath

He only _implied_ that all orders coming from Trump were unlawful. See? Technically immune. Plus he’s a Democrat, so you know he’s above the law!

    16. These people are not serious. Hypocrisy is the entire point. Outcome is important too but secondary to humiliation. If it doesn’t work, does not matter. Reminds me of the Soviets, Nazis, etc.

Everyone saw and heard what he said. How could this even make it to court? How could this ever be a point of contention? How can people at those levels be this stupid?

    18. Mysterious_Cry41 on

Even if he did, I still don’t care and this would in fact be bullshit regardless.

Frivolous lawsuits should carry a heavy penalty for the attorney bringing it to court.

He literally just reminded the army of established law and the fascist pieces of shit in the white house branded him a traitor.

It’s your tax money paying for these political lawsuits by the way.

    21. Technical-Tear5841 on

Of course not, he was just hinting that when Trump gave „unlawful“ orders they did not have to obey them. Now how they were going to know the orders were unlawful is open to conjecture. My guess people like Sen. Kelly would go on social media to pass the word.

    22. Aunt_Vagina1 on

Anyone know if Kelly can counter sue the government for legal fees incurred in defending himself against this?
