In any other circumstance this would be gigantic news that most international Kpop fans would be interested in hearing (at least), but the timing is absolutely brutal.
People are already not huge on big features on group songs, but add in a controversial (though undeniably popular) individual who is in another fresh controversy and you have a toxic grenade waiting to explode.
People are already brutal towards aespa in most online spaces, and this is only going to add more fuel as if they have some way of stopping anything.
That being said, I would be floored if this doesn’t do *numbers* in Korea. Even with last year’s singles not being as strong as 2024’s slate as a lead-in, this is a potent combination that people will tune in for.
this will do little for aespa on an international level, it will do more for him even.
edit: i meant on a western level, i know gdragon is pretty big in Asia

Aside from the controversy, g-dragons voice just isn’t very good anymore. I know it will be autotuned to hell and back but his recent live performances have showed that he can barely hold a note anymore
