    1. An easy first step for lots of rural men would be for the LPC to drop gun bans as a wedge issue and stop making criminals out of otherwise peaceful and law abiding citizens.

I will can never support a LPC government because of how they have treated me and my ilk for political gain, and I will make sure my children and my future grand children understand exactly how duplicitous and cynical the Liberals are.

    2. If any LPC candidate could do it it’s probably Carney, but so much damage has been done by Trudeau’s policies it would be an absolute nightmare of a battle to win many of those guys back.

Ludicrous gun bans/buyback, billions spent on global affairs and corporations, little help for the average Canadian, watching their kids struggle to find work, the overwhelming tide of “students” bringing wages down and further decimating industries. The list goes on, and yes general racism is on there because thinking it’s not is asinine.

Canadians at every level are suffering, money is drying up, there’s no real support or help from the government. People will naturally gravitate towards whoever promises to fix the situations and improve their lives, which is exactly what the CPC is doing. If Carney can’t do that he’ll never win those guys back, and the eventual blue wave of change will either be very good or very bad for everyone depending on who’s running the show.

Mehhh Carney might side prong while targeting ecconomics but every thing he is doung atm is ecconomics with in the socail boundaries of acceptance . Hes pushing boundaries and shifting post to avoid large pockets of discourse , not targeting large demographics .

Carney knows the path to holding the votes is in people’s pockets, for now that will smartly remain the target .

    4. Not being as physically attractive will do the heavy lifting. The largest factor in men’s hate for Trudeau was masculine insecurity,, ie. *how can that guy be so successful when hes so unmanly compared to me, it must all be rigged*.

E: fellas in the replies proving the point so much better than any individual could.

You guys understand the discussion here is the popularity issue specific to *men* right? Take a deep breath and *think* about what youre implying about women voters in your „no no no its all about policy!!!“ reactions.

Yeah Carney seems like a guy who can sit with a group of younger guys and drink a beer and talk hockey and stuff and also still be an expert on stuff.

Trudeau never gave off that image much I find…

Carney has two things trudeau didnt have… an aura of competence and is seen as far less peformative.

    6. Trying to appeal to men by confiscating the „weapons of war“ I possess, that are used for a variety of traditionally masculine activities. Trying to appeal to men by appointing a Governor General who derided Canadian soldiers as white boys who dont like women. Got it! White boy veteran gun owner signing off…
