Just a day after Trump launched a US military operation to escort ships through the Strait of Hormuz, he’s now decided to ‚pause‘ it. Note that a South Korean ship caught fire at the outset of this, which Trump blames on Iran, so the operation wasn’t off to a great start. Iran has not confirmed asking for a repreive, although it has said the operation constitutes a ceasefire violation and hit the UAE’s Fujairah with drones and missiles when this operation was announced.
