She sounds like a solid choice, what controversies am I missing that will have everyone screaming about her being The Absolute Worst?
I thought that maybe after the last couple of GGs they would want to pick someone willing to lean into the ceremonial aspects of the role a bit more. Choosing a 79 year old seems on its face questionable. Obviously GGs don’t typically serve all that long and it’s not the most stressful job, but a lot can happen in the next few years when you’re that old.
Good decision but isn’t she in her 80’s. I do understand that massive work she has done in the past but should age also be a factor?
