He has a lot in common with many of Trump’s administration and fanbase.

2nd Amendment doesn’t really make sense. I wouldn’t feel in danger if someone like Rittenhouse was walking around with a single shot, black powder musket.
I think 2A is a tad outdated, but it does add a degree of comfort knowing I can defend my home. A shotgun will do just fine for that though. All an intruder needs to hear is “Clack Clack” and they’ll likely run out shitting themselves.
Maybe an amended version is due. I dunno, how about: No carrying around powerful, high capacity military assault rifles on the street?
Seems like common sense. It would be a good start at least.
One thing that is certainly common sense:
A derp like Rittenhouse does not deserve to own a firearm because he falls beneath a threshold of intellectual capacity and emotional intelligence one should expect from a gun owner. I don’t want a gun owner thinking and behaving like a child or adolescent, But god forbid you call a Republican “dumb” for coming up with dumb shit.
Personally, I’d never refer to someone with intellectual disabilities as a “derp”, but I believe Rittenhouse, at minimum had the intellectual capacity to know that what he was doing was wrong. So he is in his own class, and by my definition, worthy of being called a derp.
Nonetheless, he had an assault rifle on the street and murdered someone with it.
Within the coming weeks, the GOP went on to celebrate yet another “adult”, who fell far short of what rational society deems a “responsible adult”.
I’m starting to feel like this cancer called the GOP will never be controlled and will inevitably destroy our country.
I want responsible, civic minded adults in power for a change. They don’t even need to be perfect. I’ll even settle for a dash of that good old fashioned corruption. Ya know the kind where you knew the politicians were lining their pockets a little, but we actually had institutions that functioned, things were affordable, wealth was more evenly distributed and the future looked promising?
I think between 1945 and 1970ish would be an okay time to look back on for inspiration, only this time we can try it without all the racism, and sexism and some other things Im sure. It would make for a good start once Trump leaves.
