      They were not comparable. Whether or not it was actually supposed to be taken literally, she was making actually calling for Trump’s death. Kimmel made a joke about the age difference between Trump and Melanie that is being intentionally misinterpreted.

      Her stunt was tasteless, violent and backfired. Jimmy’s joke was funny and captured what most people are thinking. That’s the difference

      You know I thought about this a lot and then it brought me down the avenue of thought that Jared from subway probably never getting canceled and going to jail if it happened 5 years later and it’s really depressing to think about.

      Didn’t she hold up a decapitated trump head? Hers was a little different than Jimmy Kimmels joke.
      She def took it too far.

      Kathy has a right to do what she did, but she held up a bloody disembodied Trump head. It’s not remotely the same as a tasteless joke.

      I see a lot of people here talking about the picture that Kathy was in several years ago.

      But nobody is saying anything about the photographer whose idea it was and took the picture and asked Kathy to be the person holding it.

      She agreed to it, but it wasn’t her idea and that dude that thought the whole thing up never catches any flak.

      What happened to her was terrible. Republicans always bitch and moan about Cancellation, but she lost all her work because trumpers kept calling in bomb threats to all her shows until places stopped booking her.
