It’s obvious that Carr is bluffing; they’re just testing D’Amaro. All the House of Mouse’s lawyers have to do is walk in to court and play a “best of” montage of all the festering, inflammatory rhetoric that’s spewed by Fox’s hosts.

  2. Disney better learn that consumers will be punishing them if they bend to Facists

If it’s a legal cage match between Disney lawyers and the Trump administration, I am putting all my chips on Disney.

Its basically saying if disney is willing to spend money they wont see a return on in year they can win.

Yeah its not happening they will fold instantly.

  5. In an age where the supreme court will undo laws and ignore stare decisis to appease the king, nothing is all but automatic.

The only time I can recall the FCC revoking the license of a station was back in the 80s when RKO hid evidence of some kind of fraud . Even that was tied up in court for years.

This effort will not go far, even if the commission quickly votes to reject the renewals. Disney has good lawyers and nothing will happen unless the FCC has a smoking gun of evidence of misconduct (they don’t)

  7. ABC can afford many more and much better lawyers. Decimating DOJ is going to come back to bite Trump.

The problem is that the fight may unleash other things where even though they win this battle, the court system does something that is more damaging to them. This is why they caved before with George Stephonopolis. There was some serious possibility of libel law challenges that this supreme court could have done some significant damage with.

  10. And if they appease Trump, then, the goalpost gets moved. Nothing is ever good enough, or correct enough

So….should I say “8647” or “expectant widow” to offend someone, or both. I don’t want to “not” offend someone on social media.
