    Fun fact: there are a Hispanic group known as [Hispanos](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hispanos_of_New_Mexico) that have been living in northern New Mexico and southern Colorado since the 16th century. they that trace their ancestry to Spanish settlers and local natives american tribes. they identified mostly as spanish or new mexican, some also identifed as chicano and mexican-american. they mostly found in northern new mexico and southern colorado.

    Can someone please explain what changed in the status of Puerto Rico between 2000 and 2010? I was not aware it had changed since 1952 when it became an “Estado Libre Asociado de los Estados Unidos de América”
