Can someone please explain what changed in the status of Puerto Rico between 2000 and 2010? I was not aware it had changed since 1952 when it became an “Estado Libre Asociado de los Estados Unidos de América”

Does it refer to descendants of Europeans or to descendants of Native Americans?

Good map, but I doubt the trend will continue. Surprisingly, the total fertility rate for Hispanic Americans is 1.9, which is below replacement. It’s also 1.9 for Mexicans living Mexico, as opposed to 6.8 back in the 60s.
Why did all Hispanics leave Loving County, TX by 2020?

When I first moved to the west coast, I noticed there are a lot of illegal immigrants here.

I hate to bring up politics but when people say they hate Americans and all Americans are dumb, you’re lumping in some of the hardest working, family oriented, community building people into that callous statement. 20%.

Maryland has quietly been the most Latino state on the east coast for a while.
Langley Park, Maryland is known as the 15th Province of El Salvador.

Immigration from Mexico also plateaued in the 2000s-10s has not really increased since. For example: https://www.migrationpolicy.org/programs/data-hub/charts/mexican-born-population-over-time
