Government needs to come up with an assimilation plan. Looking at experiences of Western European countries, it’s pretty obvious that integration is not the way to go – it results in people separating from each other. We should aim to assimilate foreigners into to the society.

So far, there’s no plan whatsoever. I’m glad deportations have begun last year, but deportations alone do not constitute a „plan”.

the funniest thing about being a foreigner in Poland is how ZUS works. your *mandatory* monthly contributions support current retirees and NFZ programs. so effectively, as a foreigner, you pay for Polish pensioners welfare (among other things) while your future pension is not guaranteed. not saying it’s bad – it’s totally reasonable, since this applies to everyone, not only foreigners. however, it’s pretty hilarious to me, especially after reading statements from some Polish MPs, like „obcokrajowcy żyją na nasz koszt“ or something about „zasiłki“.

  3. The only issue I have is that there should be equal or at least close to equal numbers of female and male immigrants here. From what I know currently, the vast majority of immigrants are male while it should be closer to a 50/50 gender split.

  4. Just few little corrections to current laws and the numbers will shrink immediately

And 1.8mil are Ukrainians and Belarusians, they came here to work. It totally different than western countries that got „refugees”.

Not only that but we share a lot of History, culture etc. Imagine if it was 1.8 milion people from india or africa? Totally different.
