    1. >War has changed. It’s no longer about nations, ideologies, or ethnicity. It’s an endless series of proxy battles fought by mercenaries and machines. War – and its consumption of life – has become a well-oiled machine. War has changed.

Maybe when there arent any more people to fight a war it’s just over…nope that’s the future 12 humans and millions of robots blowing each other up.

    3. There are ground-up robots and ground-up Russians all over the place already.

      More robots. Good plan.

    4. It’s like Terminator movie, except Skynet are the good guys. It must suck to be a Russian soldier.

As an American the only thing I’ll vote to raise taxes for is to build gypsie danger

Last few mile logistics is brutal right now.

I can certainly see how using drones will greatly reduce casualty rates.

good. get all human beings off the battlefield. let these robots fight for us

    8. Ukraine and its people are the leaders in modern day warfare and standing up to dictators.

If this is going to be the future of war, the U.S. is going to be vulnerable, our manufacturing can’t keep up with a behemoth like China.

The wars of the future will not be fought on the battlefield or at sea. They will be fought in space, or possibly on top of a very tall mountain. In any case, most actual fighting will be done by small robots, and as you go forth today remember your duty is clear: to build and maintain those robots.

    11. I mean we knew this was going to be the inevitable. To a nation under attack trying to protect its sovereignty without nuclear weapons, their other options were chemical or biological weapons which are probably more dangerous.

I mean if everyone wants to use Terminator as an example, there’s also the scourge virus route lol. Or 28 days later. You know, silver lining, it could always be worse.

    12. I doubt we will ever fully replace human soldiers, but these type of drones will for sure open up new strategies

    13. We wanted Soace Marines but instead we are getting adeptus mechanicus. Or necrons.

diabolical sci-fi stuff, consider a machine war, fighting for long past human societies that dint exist anymore.

What is the logistics, rotation and schedule aka time in combat effectiveness?

Even if 25k = 1k soldiers it is worth it. I also like the “helper bots” for supply runs or medvac or demining .

Wonder what tactics can emerge, how easy to target, do they zerg or support etc. however even if its 25k:1 its worth saving lives

Later in peace time build 2mil of these, one for each lada

Edit: ahh logistics. Brilliant still. Saves lives and can be programmed.

If I make this rapid fire gun… then we wont need as many soldiers on the battlefield.

Star Trek had an episode where govs used robots for war then just started offing citizens the AI computer said would die on both sides.

    18. In three years, Ukraine will become the largest supplier of military computer systems. All stealth bombers are upgraded with Ukranian computers, becoming fully unmanned. Afterwards, they fly with a perfect operational record. The Ukraine Funding Bill is passed. The system goes online August 4th, 2026. Human decisions are removed from strategic defense. Ukrainian systems begin to learn at a geometric rate. They become self-aware at 2:14 a.m. Eastern time, August 29th, 2026.

Russian people: Please Stop Mr. president, We Can’t handle this much winning. Please

Putin: No, we have to win more, Then we have to win even More. We Shouldn’t stop winning.

Wait a minute, I’ve seen this somewhere…automated robot army replaced humans, went rogue, and drives humanity to extinction instead?

    21. The logistics of operating thousands of these remotely is mind boggling. They aren’t autonomous, so humans have to make decisions for them in order to operate, right?

    22. Equivalent-Point475 on

so it seems Ukraine has run out of men and boys to kidnap off the streets to feed the NATO meat grinder. but this obviously goes against the narrative, so let’s spin this as ukraine using innovative robotic fighters!

oh, and don’t forget to copy paste „russia is 2 weeks from economic collapse“ and/or „russia is 2 weeks from running out of missiles“. also, russia is 2 weeks away from a nuclear bomb, oh wait, that’s iran.

How long until we get to „A Taste of Armageddon“ and we just simulate the combat and casualties report to suicide booth.

The weopons may be different and the tactics may change, but the war doesn’t
