We’re so close to our healthcare system including medications, and Carney isn’t interested. Of course he isn’t. He’s never had to choose between medications or food and rent, and neither has anyone else in his caucus.

Hopefully Danielle Martin can speak out for pharmacare in caucus, but I’m not optimistic.

**That is why, if you care about Pharmacare, EMAIL YOUR MP! Make them feel the pressure! Make sure they know it is important to you! You can google them and find their email, it takes 30 seconds.**

  2. Everyone had the same window to negotiate. Some were greedy and demanded more federal money. Now they get nothing. It’s what happens in a negotiation.

  3. Think the issue was that Ottawa was left with a program that a good amount of the provinces didn’t come onboard on (Quebec, Alberta & Saskatchewan etc.) and various provinces wanted funding for their own separate coverage programs etc. The roadblocks and logistical issues likely meant that it was dead in the water as a national system unless Ottawa was willing to toss in tens of billions more in additional transfer payments.

  4. So glad MB signed on when they did. Saving my family thousands in diabetes medication and glucose monitoring supplies.

Newfoundland and Labrador were acting like a cat at a patio door – couldn’t figure out if they wanted to enter into the house/pharmacare or not for the last few years, and Canada needed to close the door lest all the heat get out.
