      It’s wild to read this after what Israel did to Iranian proxies, fall of Assad in Syria and the 12 day war. Iran really did seem to be at its weakest.

      The U.S. “quite obviously went into this war without any strategy,” Merz added. “Especially since the Iranians are very skillfully negotiating – or simply very skillfully not negotiating. A whole country is being humiliated by the Iranian leadership,” said Merz in a stunning rebuke to Trump.

      This is more like „stop hitting yourself“ meme. Trump just has 0 clue what he’s doing and his cabal of sycophants won’t do shit all to stop it. Not to mention the media in the us is just a step away from North Korean propaganda.

      We already bombed the military sites. Now there’s two ways to continue attacking Iran. One invade with boots on the ground. Or. Two bomb civilian infrastructure. 

      We don’t want to do either one or two. So there’s nothing more to do. 

      This was well thought out.

      The chancellor may well be wrong. The strategy may actually be to not exit. By not exiting we A) talk less about the Epstein files and B) allow Eric and Don Jr to profit immensely with their stake in military drone manufacturers.

      There have been plenty of embarrassments for the Americans in recent years, but I don’t think the Iran war is causing them any embarrassment at all. They’ve completely neutered the Iranian leadership and if recent reports are to be believed they have now killed 2 supreme leaders. Irans military infrastructure has been completely decimated and if this carries on a few more days the Iranian oil infrastructure will be essentially useless when they run out of storage capacity. The blockade will make the situation worse and worse in Iran until they have no choice but to negotiate – 40% of their food goods are imported and its strangling the economic noose ever further.

      I can’t see this ending any other way other than the Yanks achieving virtually all of their war goals. With Venezuela being brought into line, Iran decimated, Cuba probably next and the Russians destroying themselves in Ukraine it will allow the US to focus almost entirely on China, which i’m assuming was always the end goal.

      Have a friend who jus got back from over in the area, he’s a navy officer.

      Apparently, we absolutely are not winning this stupid war, and damage and losses are being hidden to maintain the „we’re winning bigly“ propaganda bullshit. The US may have air superiority but it means nothing because of the mountains.

      There’s only two ways to „win“. Nukes or convince Russia/China to isolate them. Neither is gonna happen. America takes another L.

      Trump’s rude, disrespectful, and even directly antagonistic approach towards NATO and Europe has enabled European leaders to speak hard truths. Before Trump, comments like this about the U.S. from a German leader would have been unthinkable. But with Trump, there’s really no downside to calling him out on his stupid behavior since the relationship can’t really get much worse.

      This is not entirely true. We reached the maximum amount of humiliation before Trump attacked Iran. Iran is merely topping off our humiliation tank.

      In Trump’s head he’s the only US President who had the balls to go after Iran, when in reality all previous President’s simply knew the kind of asymetrical warfare Iran could engage in because of global oil dependancy and the Strait of Hormuz

      It’s funny, you’d think the world was watching when Russia decided it would be „in and out“ of Ukraine in a matter of weeks. It’s almost like a conflict with another nation comes with long timelines and consequences.

      Nice statements, but maybe they should state the real reason too, as sad as it is. The „total incompetence“ USA leadership shows here is because they want to lengthen the conflict to weaken the west and help russia’s war effort as part of distraction and part of economical shift (also even some direct war equipment problems created towards eastern European countries). Guess it is politically incorrect to admit to this fact.

      We’ve outsourced out military leadership at the highest levels to drunks and podcasters. What exactly did anyone expect? We’ve seen how that kind of outsourcing has worked in corporate history, no different here.

       

      And I have said time and again: Iran is *not* Iraq. Too many people in the west here expect it to be the same thing. It’s not, by a long shot.
