      5German Chancellor Friedrich Merz on Monday said Iran’s leadership is in the process of „humiliating“ the United States in the ongoing conflict.

      Merz said Washington appeared to lack a clear strategy and questioned what kind of exit the US might pursue.

      How is it humiliating when the IR lost way, waaay more people and money? They killed more civilians as well. What they’re mostly doing is wasting the US’s time and having them deal with low rank idiots which is more like, derogatory, but humiliating? What’s humiliting about it?

      Not a Trump supporter and certainly not a proponent of this war, but ….

      At the moment, given the situations in Ukraine and Iran, energy markets are obviously considerably strained right now. From my perspective, this seems quite geopolitically beneficial to the USA because it is a massive problem – longer term- for China.

      If you interpret the current energy situation through this lens – along with the fragility of China’s economy (faltering real estate, overbuilt industry, supply outpacing demand) – it seems like there is in fact a method to this.

      Europe is just caught in the cross hairs as an innocent bystander and Trump doesn’t care, which is not how previous US Presidents have treated their European allies.

      Historically, NATO allies knew what the plan was. Right now they are not being told what the plan is. There must be some kind of resentment that accompanies being left out.

      He is correct. The only fans cheering Trump’s megalomamiac war in Iran are Israel and Russia. Israel is typically opportunistic and they have little values or respect to others, while Russia wants weaker NATO.
