Ich bin mir nicht sicher, aber ich sehe seit ein paar Monaten in Luxemburg viele unfertige Straßen oder Gehwege. Dieser wurde vor einem Jahr so belassen.

If a contractor needs to be replaced, depending on the value of the contract, there’s a very long process to go through to get a replacement. Part finished jobs are particularly difficult to find replacements for.
There are many reasons they might need to, but there have been a lot of construction firms going under…

This point is at a cross road where like +- 7years ago the main road was opened and renovated (new pipes etc), then the road going up, and basically the whole area above. Finishing time is scheduled for spring 2027 and points like this will be done together with the rest. Annoying yes.
What I found is that every single area of lux city is having major construction sites on all points and I’m wondering if it’s really the most efficient

I live near the area, the whole area’s pipes etc are being replaced. They dig near your house and inconvenience you, refill the holes and redig them again.
As it is taxpayers money, I am quite sure everything is being charged and no one is enforcing /supervising anything from the government pov

I swear when they did the sidewalk next to the apartment I lived in, they ripped it open at least 3 times after initially finishing it. God knows how many more cables and tubes you can actually put into a single sidewalk

Happens in plenty of countries. Here often as there is a larger project that follows and still need approval or the budget like for instance a roundabout and that takes time.

Road in Cents is cursed. Have never seen it finished. It is in constant repair.

These typically fall under another contractor and team . Probably they are waiting for road construction to complete before repairing these.
