      So the guy presumably was firing at the president and then shoots an agent conveniently in the bulletproof vest and not 1 agent returns fire? Sounds fake and this guy prob going to be given large sum of money and rushed off to Venezuela.

      Wouldn’t shock me Trump saw declining polls and talks of the midterms and staged this hoping to get a similar bump that he got before the election.

      Social media is in flames. Right leaning influences are calling for action against politicians, news channels and people, accusing them of inciting the shooting by labeling Trump as a nazi. Already questions are being asked about regulation of speech, with it being argued that the media needs curtailing.

      It wouldn’t shock me if this was staged. But at the same time, I’m surprised there haven’t been more assassination attempts on the guy. He’s a pedophile, a rapist, consistently running scams to defraud taxpayers, cutting essential social services, and is in the midst of forcing us into a record unpopular war. You don’t hurt that many people without a sizable group of individuals forming who want you dead

      I don’t think it was staged but I do think it’s funny how mad conservatives are that people think it is. It’s a little taste for them of what’s it’s like for us to see all the stupid crazy conspiracy theories they believe and how we feel about it.

      I’m sorry but this is literally a press event and there is no footage worth a shit of the event? Can you imagine a more vivid illustration of the decline of American news media?

      Oh and Wolf Blitzer was ta fled and hustled into a bathroom before he could see what was going on and the bathroom was already full of other guests? Seriously, that sounds a bit like a) they may have had advance knowedge and b) they were actively trying to prevent anyone witnessing the event.

      I don’t know if it was staged–I certainly think Butler was, so I wouldn’t put it past Trump to try it again–but I’ll say that if it was staged, I don’t think it went off as intended.

      Hmm so ok, when there are gun shots in the lobby the secret service secure Trump and make him stay down and out of sight and then they stand alert and on guard with guns ready to take down any shooters. They don’t immediately let him stand up and raise his fist in the air and shout “Fight Fight Fight” while cameras get the shot. Got it. I wonder why this wasn’t how Butler played out.

      In the Press conference afterwards Trump was talking about the would be shooter and said he looked like Matt Dillon, I assume he’s just watched Bourne and meant Damon

      People really need to stop embarrassing themselves with the conspiracy theories. It’s not surprising that a guy as loathed as Trump has had so many assassination attempts. Comments in here on some Alex Jones level stupidity.
