Why allow any Russians at all? Even if theyre not directly involved in the war in Ukraine, or hybrid war, espionage and sabotage within the EU, the vast majority support Putin and the war. The only thing that will hurt them is isolating them completely.

I feel like what would be unquestionably fair is something like revoking visas, residence permits and citizenships of children of Russian oligarchs, government officials and propagandists. I’m fine with this. Visiting the EU is a privilege, not a right. Wealthy Russians should have to deal with the consequences of the government that enriches them.
While I agree that this sounds like a good idea, aren’t the people fighting in Ukraine often forcefully drafted so they didn’t have a choice (most Vietnam vets come to mind) ? How does this affect defectors ?

Easy fix; if you’re holding a russian passport, it should be considered a fake, as russia is no longer a real country. Let people from Pietari get Finnish passports, or people from Hǎishēnwǎi get Chinese passports.
That’s like bare minimum. We shouldn’t allow any collaborators either. And make visas for russians like 10x pricier. Any russian coming here is already richer than most. They can afford our luxury.
