This is such an odd thing to do. As if emulating mouse movements will somehow create working software. It’s almost cargo-cult-ish. Developers move the mouse and type things, what if we record those things! Then we emulate mouse movements and then we can emulate their jobs!
Seems super weird, and I’m sure this isn’t the whole story because on the surface it seems completely out of touch and absurdly dumb.

yawn. microsoft had this in office back in 99. they recorded macros which literally did this. keystrokes are not a notably good way to train the LLMs. they just be given an algorithm which describes „the rules of the game“ in order for that data to be useful. transformers don’t really work like that. perhaps the interesting bit of this is the apparent signal that the zucc has finally come to the conclusion that CNNs are a more sensible approach ASSUMING you can reliably design those algorithms.
I literally feel like I’m in the early stages of becoming the crazy loon that’s in every dystopian tech apocalypse movie, who’s homeless on the streets with a pasta strainer hat screaming “seee, I told you so!”
Next idea: „Hey let’s feed an LLM with footage of our emplyees staring at the screen, this should create perfect replicas of our engineers and we can get rid of the real ones, finally!“
