Fast jedes Mal, wenn ich in den Zug fahre, sehe ich, wie Menschen ihre Füße auf den freien Sitzplatz gegenüber stellen oder mit angezogenen Schuhen ihren eigenen Sitzplatz betreten. Diesmal hat jemand sogar seine Beine auf den Tabletttisch gelegt (siehe Foto).

    Gilt das in der Schweiz als normal, dass ich lernen sollte, es zu akzeptieren? In Ostasien oder Südostasien sehe ich das selten, weil das als sehr unhöflich und respektlos empfunden würde. Außerdem werden dadurch die Sitze schmutzig.

      It is not normal. Personally, I see it very rarely, but I do often see people taking off shoes and putting socked feet on the opposite chair.

      But the photo you shared is a bit of a loophole: his feet aren’t touching the chair, so in a way this is fair game 😉

      Its fine.. the pants are even probably much cleaner than peoples sweaty arms

    3. Normal, as in seen frequently, yes. Desired by the general public? No haha. As long as they take off their shoes and don’t stink up the train, I don’t really care.

    4. Remove those annoying tables and trash cans and replace 4-seat configuration with airplane seating (at least partially, not 100%): Problem „solved“.

      If the trains empty, I don’t see much of an issue with what that person’s doing. Doesn’t need to bother anyone (if train is empty).

      Or did that disturb you in any way? By doing what?

      It is rude and disrespectful and against regulations but people do it and regulations aren’t enforced, except maybe by the occasional ticket master, who walks away and feet go back up
