The EU’s €90bn loan to Ukraine could be signed off as soon as Wednesday, offering economic relief to Kyiv as it fends off the Russian invasion.
Kaja Kallas, the bloc’s foreign policy chief, told reporters she expected “positive decisions” after Viktor Orbán was voted out of office as Hungarian prime minister. Hungary had long vetoed the assistance package.
The first payments could arrive in Kyiv as soon as next month, Valdis Dombrovskis, the EU’s economy commissioner, added in a separate intervention.
The money is likely to be spent on US-made Patriot air-defence interceptors and British Storm Shadow missiles.
The news of the loan was welcomed in war-torn Ukraine, which has been struggling economically.

The U.S just announced that all deliveries to Europe are put on halt to replenish their own stockpiles. Considering current production levels that could take years.
why is EU sending money to UK/US hellNO , taxpayers money spend it on EU weaponary
should invest it in scaling up their own weapons. ukraine produces better weapons for a lot less with their various european partners. europe should have a better mic than any other nation outside of the eu. uk and us would have the most inflated price and slowest delivery too.
