Ahh…I remember way back when humans used to create art.
Who is deezer? I just buy the music I like still. Make backups of it, store it on different devices. I don’t need any signal to play.
So…. whats the first AI band gonna be?
In my day music was created naturally – with a synthesizer.
So are they actually detecting AI by analyzing the music itself? Or are they just the first platform to scan for Google and other watermarks? The last paragraph or two made me really wonder what they accomplished
It’s almost like they should just start banning shit left and right, and not put up with this anymore.
Don’t just demonetize them. Outright ban them from your services.
If any music service would like to differentiate themselves and earn my business, position yourself as having an AI filter in place. AI-free library of music would fetch a small premium from me and from many others too, I’m guessing.
I left Slopify because they kept feeding me AI music, if Deezer does the same I’m done with streaming.

Part of the fraudulent stream count may come from tools like Deemix, which make it trivial to download pretty much anything you’d ever want.

Fortunately I’m 45, so my music taste stopped around 2015 and I just listen to the old stuff (which I ripped from CDs on my local network library) over and over again.
Streaming platforms are gonna have to figure out how to filter this or they’ll drown in AI slop.
