    1. And this is why citizens across the world must say no to their governments indiscriminate collection of personal data and allowing companies like #Palantir access.

Any kickstarters out there with counter strike glasses that blind these cameras?

Great, we know how accurate AI face recognition is and how it NEVER is wrong nor has it ever created false arrests and keeping innocent people behind bars for MONTHS! We also know ICE has never falsely imprisoned citizens nor treated them inhumanely and they totally dont have a list of „undesirables“ so this will be fine. Its fine…

Seriously though, the Orwellian mass surveillance police state is in full swing. Fuck ICE and fuck this fascist police state that the Republicans are speed running us towards

    4. It would be sad if some hacker group were to find access to these databases

I wonder how often politicians go to bed thinking „hmmm, I’ll just get the tax payers to pay for it instead“.

While I absolutely hate increased surveillance, don’t most law enforcement officers already have cameras on them? How does it matter if that camera is on glasses or clipped to their vest? (Genuine question, if I’m missing some use case that glasses uniquely enable please let me know)

The footage is going to be useful in the upcoming criminal trials against ICE agents.

So their budget breakdowns into two groups. Create AI to identify which civilians they can get away with assaulting and buying warehouses to throw their bodies in.

I don’t know what’s worse, an Ice officer using **personal** smart glasses to record for their own amusement, or if ICE themselves issuing these for their use.

Why would they develop glasses for this when standardized body cams already exist for law enforcement that are surely easy enough to integrate with whatever cloud databases they need? More stable, probably less expensive.
