Went in without any expectations, but I ended up really liking it. Looking forward to the album.

this goes dummy hard, safe to say the next big thing.

just like GO and fashion, everyone will eventually start liking it a lot more.

love that late 00s indie sleaze electro clash synths or whatever happening throughout the song

There style is gonna be for everyone, but man do they nail it well. This one in particular is really catchy and even has some meme potential. The MV’s subtitles for lyrics(read read) lol.

    5. I wasn’t a huge fan of their debut but this one is actually tolerable. the songwriting itself is very limited & repetitive but I love the beat

okk after first listen, super catchy and repetitive i can already see it having so many tiktok trends and all

okay, thoughts after the first listen, I felt like it’s very different from their previous releases and I think the reason for it (at least, for me), is the tempo feels much faster which gives it much more of a chaotic energy that was sort of missing from ‚What You Want‘, which I do understand since watching the documentary but I’m glad that cortis is finally back with some music and hopefully new genres as well, since the boys did mention that this album is very different from their debut ep.

Instrumental goes sooooo hard!!!! I love cortis going in this direction. Very unique

i like it…. but for me the instrumental is to loud like i don’t difference any voices cause the bass cover them up

Why are the vocal so muffled? Is it a stylistic choice? Can’t even tell who’s singing or not.

I don’t think this one’s for me. Still looking forward to the album

this looks and sounds like indie music but the artist is loaded and drives a lamborghini

i really like it, such a fun song and mv. i’m excited for the rest of the ep

Too repetitive/monotonous for me. But maybe I’ll end up liking it in the future if I come upon it again.

Well I like it more than ycc. Instrumental doing some heavy lifting for me, since I still don’t gravitate to these stylised vocals.

    16. The bass is insane, and I love the lyrics, it’s so them, so refreshing and very inspired. 8.5/10

I loved it. My ears are trained for this from listening to yeat fakemink ken carson and more lmao

Not at ALL what I expected. Very late 2000s/very early 2010s. I dig this hard.

The most interesting BG other than Lngshot for me right now. I need more!

Is this… Freezepop instrumentals in the background? is anyone else an old indie kid like me? Song seems fun, not a lot going on and pretty heavy effects on the vocals

    20. LMAO ! The cameraman probably had a lot of fun shooting this lol. Lots of crazy angles. The song itself reminds me of 2000s music. Very electronic.

    21. That sleazy beat giving me the best MGMT flashbacks.

Very curious to hear the album now.

    22. Psychological-Low841 on

Instrumentals are good, my biggest crisis rn is to find who sings which line. Distinguishing is tough for me here.

      Otherwise, nice.

    23. ParanoidAndroids on

      Not sure about this one.

Feels a bit too repetitive/monotonous without having that catchy or infectious hook that something like Fashion had.

I think they’re at their best when more uptempo and aggressive. Glad it’s not the main title, at least.

Edit: apparently it is the main title? Or at least the „lead single“…

    24. ElectricalTrip7430 on

Their music and MVs are such a nostalgic vibe that I need in my life right now even though I’m probably much older then the demographic they’re aiming for 🤣🫶🏻

    25. Really enjoyed this one! I was unsure in the beginning but by the end they totally had me sold, it was a lot of fun

man I don’t care what anyone says I LIKE this song it’s so cool and catchy and energetic, def playing it in future while choosing my super cool outfits for the day

This production is very very interesting. Sounds like a new take on LCD Soundsytem. The concept of the song is also very cute and relatable. But the melodies and vocal effects are not doing it for me. It’s just short of being sticky this one.

With their music overall, it’s interesting how they’ve chosen not to let members stand out with distinct voices in the music. Does this mean that listeners will never get attached to one voice over the other? Its a very NewJeans approach. I have no idea who is singing at any given moment.

Biggest take on Cortis is that if this was released by a truly indie artist making stuff in their bedroom, critics would love it and music fans too. Think of underscores for example, this is in conversation with her. But this being a kpop boy group, everyone is looking for certain industry/genre markers and conventions. Even me, I’d hear it differently from Slayyyter or underscores.
