      Good. A non-binding declaration by an international organization should never have been incorporated into domestic law.

      The way that the First Nations have handled this issue is so infuriating. Sadly I think they’ve proved the racists right.

      They have the most pro-indigenous government in BC’s history, maybe in Canadian history, and they continue to sue them and be adversarial.

      Whatever you think of David Eby he clearly sees how British Columbians feel about it and is trying to do something about it. But the First Nations are refusing to compromise.

      I’m genuinely wondering if they want a Conservative government that will try to fight them on every single issue.

      They don’t have the votes from their caucus to do this. Their majority is too slim and there are some members that will never vote for the bill. The greens won’t vote for it, so unless some cons do they can’t fix it.

      It’s stupid for the NDP holdouts since if the election swings conservative then the cons will just repeal DRIPA and the result will be the same.

      Eby is not that far off from bringing back residential schools. This is shameful apartheid like racism from Eby. He’s making Hitler blush. What a complete disgrace. Protect our indigenous peoples rights. They are NOT coming for anyone’s house, NOT coming for free money or anything. Check your white privilege at the door before commenting on this, people.

      He is in an impossible position. If he lets this continue no one in BC will be able to get a mortgage. The alternative is to elect the BC Conservatives whom last time I checked were full of flat earthers and anti-vaxxers, who will do the same thing anyway.
