      Submission statement:

      Barcelona is hosting a gathering of left-wing leaders aimed at countering the increasing influence of the far-right and strengthening democratic institutions. The meeting brings together figures from across Europe, Africa and Latin America. Lula stressed it is „not going to be an anti-Trump meeting“ but obviously Trump is a focal point of the rising right-wing authoritarianism. The first two editions of this event were held at the United Nations and the previous one was held in Chile last year. The event will feature talks on issues such as income inequality, the green transition and how progressives can improve their election results.

      It’s funny how it’s always ‚left-wing‘, but ‚far-right‘.

      Sanchez’s decision to grant legal status to 500,000 undocumented migrants will do more to help the far-right than anything the far-right could come up with themselves.

      Both work with China and Russia. Lula is „anti-war“ hence works closely with Putin as he’s against supporting Ukraine same as much of the MAGA base. Both these leaders do hate Israel and Trump. But ask them about Ukraine or Putin and they won’t agree. They do both seem to be more influenced by China.

      Once Democrats win the presidency you’ll see Spain and USA become best palls. But any radical leader will work with Putin. Doesn’t matter if they are left or right. The radical left-wing in USA like the Green Party adore Putin. It’s not that simple. Maybe the split is on Israel.
