  1. I’m surprised Bulgaria is in while Poland is out.

Full list: Andorra, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Latvia, Lithuania, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Macau, Malta, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Puerto Rico, San Marino, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, United Kingdom, United States.

The IMF groups these countries as “advanced” based on factors like high income levels, diversified economies, and strong integration into the global financial system.

There are a few obvious missing examples!

IMF should probably check their own home work first

  3. Brother in Croatia, Bulgaria and Greece nothing is advanced except corruption

Bulgaria,Croatia, Lithuania, and New Zeland are advanced economies while China is out of the list, it looks like a perfectly transparent rank to me.

Anyone actually takes serious this overly Westernised rankings? The Gulf has a better standard of living than pretty much all Western nations, SEA Tigers have better cost of living coupled with high infrastructure than all of Europe. The West struggles naturally to accept that these once emerging economies have caught up. BRICS+ is no longer knocking on the door but is toe-to-toe.

Haha Polish people should be schoekd because they always brag about their country these days lol

  7. Why are countries like UAE, Oman, Qatar and Kuwait exlcuded while Norway is included despite being totally reliant on oil & sovereign wealth funds too?

  8. Australia being advanced economy is so funny unless it just means a rich country. Our whole economy is propped up by digging stuff from the ground, swapping houses and conning international students to study here for PR. Almost all complexity in our economy has been stripped down by government (of both stripes) neglect and deliberate sabotage.

  9. What is more incredible is that there are still people out there who believe in this BS…

    Bulgaria????

Also, what about The Bahamas (gdp per capita $40k), Poland (gdp per capita $31k), Barbados (gdp per capita $29k), Uruguay ($27.5k), Romania ($25.5k)

  11. Baltic states are included (what a joke)

    But not China.

    A shitty propaganda map.
