So the Iran deal Obama made was unacceptable because he unfroze Iranian assets to get them to agree, which constituted paying off the enemy. Trump would never do something like that right?

    2. AdventurousPolicy on

Something tells me that isn’t nearly enough to make them give up their stockpile.

    3. Remember when letting Iran access 1.7 Billion of their own money was high treason?

    4. Capital-Control308 on

USA and Israel have done $200B-$500B in damage to Iran. I would say this is a hard NO. AND!!! The USA is spending $2B per day fighting this was and Trump wants to increase military spending by $500B per years and gut domestic spending. On top of that his is asking for a supplemental $200B just to continue fighting. How much worse of a deal can it get for the American tax payers?

Money for Iran but no money for the people of America who are homeless, or who are starving, or who don’t have adequate healthcare, or for crumbling infrastructure, or access to clean drinking water. This goes to show where the priorities are. The citizens of American are nothing but a cash cow for the government, taxation with out representation.

At this point we’re just buying the uranium off them. Disgusting. Perhaps they’ll have more for us to buy in 5 years, seems like it’s a profitable endeavor for them.

And it would have been cheaper to do that from the start, that’s the sad part.

      What a „deal“

    7. Just get the peace deal done. This war is costing the government a billion dollars a day and causing the world economies much more than that.

    8. Reload-Ferret995 on

US taxpayers are suckers for that one lmao. Thank your king trump for giving 20B to Iran instead of ‚america first‘. That is embarrasing to say the least…

    9. I think the Iranians have no intention of doing any such deal and are stalling. Every day that oil can’t flow through the strait (no matter what nonsense Trump posts on his social media channel about the strait being open), that is another day that the world’s oil reserves dwindle and brings a global energy crisis nearer. And America is blockading Iranian ports, which is affecting China, a superpower.

The point will soon come when the world will have enough of Trump’s blustering and irrational behaviour and do their own deals with Iran, leaving America isolated and alone with no allies left to speak of.

Trump seems to have no idea that he is being hustled.

If Trump wants regime change, he is going to have to put boots on the ground and sacrifice American lives, I can’t see any way around it now, because he went into this without a clear plan.

The alternative is to declare victory and go home, but that would really be a defeat if the regime is left in place and the strait became a toll booth.

With the daily cost of this war I think Iran could name whatever price they wanted!!

    11. I seem to recall republicans being outraged when Obama did a similar release of funds to get the JCPOA enacted

In February, before the US and Irsreal attacked Iran, Iran had already offered zero stockpiles of enriched uranium with full IAEA verification according to the Oman’s FM, which he described it as ensuring Iran “will never ever have nuclear material that will create a bomb.” So is this back to square one with Iran $20 billion richer?

    13. One-Marsupial2916 on

      1. There is no way to verify if what they give up is actually the amount they have refined

      2. Whatever they give up in exchange for the money doesn’t matter, because then they can turn around and buy as much uranium as they want from Russia.

      3. You know that this administration has not thought about the above points or literally anything at all except this concept of a plan.

      4. I can’t believe how stupid our “leaders” are.

    14. Dropping $20 billion to buy out their stash of spicy rocks is wild. Let’s be real, we’re basically just paying international protection money at this point.

    15. RutherfordBCrazyyy on

Imagine they immediately use that money to buy nukes from Russia or China

    16. Ecstatic_Wasabi_5166 on

20 billion bucks for a significant trade, hope it’s a good deal for everyone involved

    17. Global_Ad3461 on

Watch they give him yellow cake. „No no, Donald the most enriched uranium there is, very dangerous. You are a world savior. Can we make it $ 25 million?“

    18. Raspberries-Are-Evil on

Only Trump cant take a deal that took a decade to get done and replace with with one thats much worse for the US after killing thousands of people.

    19. luv2ctheworld on

Huh, so break the original deal already in place. Bomb some cities. Kill some people, then go back and offer $20B for what we already had them agree to do?

      Such great strategy! /s

    20. ArgumentMaterial8907 on

Yep. Because Iran would completely not use $20 billion to buy a nuke from China. And China DEFINITELY wouldn’t sell 1 nuke for $20 billion (because they definitely didn’t sell a spy satellite already in orbit to them) with the understanding it will be used on a common enemy of the world at this point…..

    21. InevitableAvalanche on

Wow, Republicans are really bad at being in control of government.

    22. Never ceases to amaze me. American tax payers flipping the bill to make sure Isreal is safe.

They will play it off that it makes America safer, but in reality, it’s about Isreal and keeping their enemies weak.

    23. The title is just a fancy way to say the us is buying enriched uranium from iran for 20 billion
