Die USA-Iran "Waffenstillstand" begann offiziell am 8. April 2026 und endet am kommenden Mittwoch, dem 22. April. Bisher gibt es keinerlei Hinweise darauf, dass über die Vermittler etwas Sinnvolles oder Dauerhaftes vereinbart wurde.
Die USA haben ihre Schiffe neu beladen und schicken mehr Truppen in das Gebiet. Die US-Marine hat die Straße von Hormus nicht gewaltsam geöffnet, die IRGC erklärte, sie werde während der Kampfpause nicht auf Schiffe schießen. Wenn diese Frist am 22. ausläuft, wird die Meerenge am 23. wieder effektiv gesperrt. Der Krieg wird genau da weitermachen, wo er aufgehört hat … weil sich nichts geändert hat.
Während der neue 10-tägige Waffenstillstand zwischen Libanon und Israel den Waffenstillstand möglicherweise etwas verlängern könnte, könnte die Behauptung der USA, dass ihre Seeblockade der Straße von Hormus in Kraft bleibt, auch nachdem Iran behauptet hat, dass die Straße von Hormus für die Dauer des Waffenstillstands zwischen Libanon und Israel völlig offen bleiben würde, als eine weitere Provokation der Iraner angesehen werden. Schließlich gilt eine Blockade nach internationalem Recht zumindest als kriegerischer Akt der Aggression, wenn nicht sogar als offener Kriegsakt.
