We have a huge budget deficit which will be ongoing for a while, cost of living is up for everyone, we’re temporarily cutting gas taxes which are government revenues. Then on the other hand we want to waste tax money on office leases – they don’t bring any real value or solve any of our economic issues. 

The government then cuts the workforce and services while propping up commercial REITs. Are those REITs so strategically significant that we need to spend money we don’t have on this?
