  1. Canada needs to encourage entrepreneurship and innovation.

    I’d like to see a policy where income tax, on the first $250,000 of total income, is 100% tax exempt if earned in the first 5 years. With obvious limits so that controlling shareholders can only benefit from this once in their lifetime.

    It’d really help and incentivize, encourage, and help many young people trying to start businesses.

    Maybe if government and taxation wasn’t so fucking hostile to SMBs (which make up the vast majority of employers and the economy in general), we wouldn’t be in this mess.

    Best they can do is allow the status quo to continue, so fuck us, I guess.

    Who wants to start a business while having a mortgage and then a commercial rent lease for their business? 

    Commercial rent has been one of the biggest entry barriers for entrepreneurs who wish to start a business.
