      I mean, if it is hitting the news circulation now, then Ukraine is already sending kinetic answers or is preparing for another mass meat grind.

      From what I’ve read, Russia can’t mount an effective offensive at this point.

      For what it’s worth Russia are currently in 2026 losing forces even faster than the new boosted recruitment rates.

      It’s likely due to increased rates of attrition from ever more advanced and longer range Ukrainian drones, Russia just needs an excuse to sell to the public back home as to why they’re boosting recruitment yet again again again for the 5th time or whatever which isn’t “we’re technically losing and can barely hold the line”.

      Presumably this is around where Ukraine has recently taken back a lot of territory the past 2 months – Moscow probably figures the Ukrainian lines/positions will be less reinforced not having had much time to prepare them. Let’s hope they’re making the deadliest mistake
