It’ll be ironic if Trump wins the UN Champions of the Earth award for driving EV adoption.

Trudeau’s previously ambitious goal of 2030-EVs might actually happen.

Regardless of fuel prices I was hoping my next vehicle would be an EV, only reason I’m still holding on to my existing ICE is because I haven’t found an EV I like yet. I don’t want to buy something to hold onto for 3yrs I want another 7-10yr vehicle like my 2017 Explorer.

I wonder if the crazy depreciation on electric vehicles has something to do with this. Some very good deals to be had on the used electric vehicle market, outside of Tesla’s at least.

with these prices, there’s no reason to buy a brand new car unless its a necessity

Very deceiving headline its comparing the worst month of 2025 to Feb of this year overall sales are way down
Quebec was leading in sales but took a major hit last year dropping almost 38%
Once ppl can afford housing and food this should shoot right back up.

Had to buy a hybrid instead of a plug in due to infrastructure lacking in many apartment complexes. I don’t see this changing in highly unwalkable cities with poor EV infrastructure. Not against it at all, I would be willing. It’s just not happening

„There were just over 124-thousand new motor vehicles sold in Canada in February. In the same month, 12,626 new ZEVs were sold.“

Car prices are crazy high used and new.

  9. If companies continue to pay less and less people’s disposable income go out the window you’re going to see a lot of this going around as vehicle sales go down because we can’t afford them. Almost like the economy needs to run in some sort of circle of life where it feeds but also is fed.

You can’t siphon billions out of the working class and expect the working class to go into debt to have things.

    Serenity now
