Ich sehe nicht, wie sich das tatsächlich auszahlen wird. Zu viel Vertrauen darauf, dass die Eigentümer ans Telefon gehen und Verantwortung übernehmen.

No chance without enforcement so good luck with that
And I’m the pope
Ridiculous to expect anyone to be available 24 hours a day. It’s a carte blanche for government entities to harass small businesses. And in the interim, the government itself offers no 24hr services beyond emergency ones.
Not to mention of course that parliament goes on a summer break, govt employees get summer hours, etc etc.
I am an airbnb host and I agree with this measure.
I rarely have issues with my guests as I approve ones with good reviews however I would definitely want to be called at any time if there is a party going on in my apartment. I only use Airbnb as a platform as I despise booking .com
To be fair the rest of the block all know my number already and know that I short-let, so I feel that this measure is more targeted to make sure that people have licensed short-lets.
So rather than Malta trying to sort out its waste management system by providing places in every city/region where people can dispose of their waste (like any other major European city), they expect Airbnb owners to come up with their own solutions and plans.
I’m curious how this will work in practice.
„Anybody caught operating a short-let property without a licence will be barred from applying for a licence for a further three years, the law says“
Translation
„Anybody caught operating a short-let property without a license will be left free to continue to operate a short-let property without a license, with no consequence whatsoever. MTA will periodically reply that „it is under investigation“, hoping that neighbours reporting these illegal shortlets will just give up“
