      In a sense, glad I am not the only one feeling this way. I plan on strolling around Tokyo and catching up on my reading and cleaning.

      I have no plans because it sucks going anywhere in Golden Week. Get ya money up

      They should give residents of each prefecture a different week to take off for golden week every year. So Tokyo has its own golden week which is different from Kyoto’s etc.

      Having a situation where everybody is travelling at the same time and all hotel prices / flights sky rocket when this country already is packed with tourists just feels like I’m being forced to take off work but I can’t leave the country.

      And the resentment towards tourists splashing around their strong currencies will just get stronger and stronger as Japanese cannot even afford to have fun in their own country.
