Best thing canada could do is implement export tarrif on oil tied to the CUSMA negotiation.
Wouldn’t trump do the same to us?
The permit is good as long as he doesn’t change his mind. If after the pipeline is built, the US administration decides it is not good enough for them and put some restrictions/regulations/tariff on Canadian oil. Then what? See Gordie Howe Bridge for reference.
I’d rather focus on supplying Asia and Europe than the US…and i currently live in the US.
The US starts all these stupid oil wars, let them figure it out, Canada should not be building new pipelines to a neighbor who threaten their sovereignty.
