  1. I’d say conservatives are insecure snowflakes, but snowflakes have more originality. Conservatives just echo Fox News.

  2. Ahh yes, those conservatives that are so free speech and hate censorship, right?

  3. I believe Charlie would want us all to know that the 2nd amendment is there to protect all of our other God given rights, which would presumably include the 1st amendment.

To be clear, I am not advocating violence merely paraphrasing the late Mr. Kirk.

Boycotting conservative ideals is a crime.   They are also using the FTC to force advertisers to buy ads on twitter.

Not attending mandatory conservative indoctrination classes will be a crime soon.

  5. “fundamental commitment is to the principle that debate or deliberation may not be suppressed because the ideas put forth are thought by some or even by most members of the University community to be offensive, unwise, immoral, or wrong-headed.”(*)

*Except if you disagree with us, then you should be expelled.

Blatantly unconstitutional. Wouldn’t expect any less from family fucking land like TN.

  7. Desperate_Act_6765 on

I had no idea that Tennessee is so assbackwards. Tennessee makes Florida look downright liberal. Shaking my head.

  8. If the penalty for protesting (which is exercising your first amendment rights) is expulsion, then that school has lost all of its credibility.

Alumni should sue and demand their money back as well.

    What babies.

If you don’t want to be treated like hateful undesirables with zero morals, then __don’t act that way__.

Conservatives would have no standards if it weren’t for double standards

Remember, these kinds of measures are to attack less than 1% of the population. And no, your kid is not going to school John and coming home Jane. But, it seems we need to have other villains in the USA because the whole „class war“ thing has run its course. Now its you’re either rich or you aren’t. There needs to be some other kind of bogeyman to ensure the ultrawealthy stay nice and safe. So now it’s immigrants, LGBTQ+ and non-Christians.

Conservatives are very afraid of words. So afraid they want to strip your first amendment right away.

Charlie Kirk was an uneducated community college dropout charlatan who didn’t believe in evolution or the separation of church of state. He peddled racism, bigotry, science denial, and anti-intellectualism for a living. The college kids he debated, as a 30 year old grown man, were more educated than him.

can’t wait to see this challenged in the courts if by chance it becomes law

  15. JuJu_Wirehead on

Well this will be tossed out by a court in no time. Wouldn’t it be scary if Republicans still knew how to craft laws within the confines of the Constitution?

  16. so free speech means bringing in anti-lgtbq speakers, but protesting them gets you expelled, got it

  17. Euphoric-Screen-9315 on

What is the exact language? The text in the article could be read as _any_ view on homosexuality, which would mean the same very special protection for a campus speaker advocating compulsory group sodomy to open each day.

  18. “Freedom of speech….but only the kind of speech that we agree with!”-The MAGA squad.

    The true snowflakes are Republicans.

Always the biggest babies and are creating actual safe spaces so they can continue to spew lies and hate.

  20. UniqueEmotion2144 on

Rather have my kid get expelled for that,  than be subjected to the fake Christian hate that that balloon-headed grifter spewed.

The GOP is the enemy of the people and a threat to our constitutional order.

  22. GOP is doing a better job of dragging Kirks name through the mud and reminding us what a bottom feeding dumpster he was as a person than anyone on the left ever could.

  23. We need a MASSIVE voter turnout to combat their attempts at stealing the midterms.

Taking both the House and Senate will help restore some semblance of checks and balances. But it needs to be too big to rig. Look at Hungary, they came out in force and made their voices heard.

Check that you’re registered to vote, even if you already were since one of the GOP’s tricks is to purge voter rolls.

Let’s send these pedophile-protecting fundamentalist assholes packing in November.

  24. lifeat24fps on

Right wing overreach laws are fun laws to break because they can often lead to landmark free speech cases. Not so sure with this SCOTUS but no SCOTUS is forever.

  25. BiggsIDarklighter on

Hear that Republican Tennessee parents, the GOP just passed a bill that allows LGBTQ+ speakers to be invited to Universities to speak to your kids about homosexuality and transgender rights and there is nothing you can do about it. The gay and trans speakers are 100% protected by this bill to say whatever they want to your kids. Your kids can’t even leave the auditorium during a speech or they will get expelled. Again, the GOP just passed this bill. It’s called the Charlie Kirk Act to help protect LGBTQ+ speakers.

  26. So people can use their first amendment right to speak out against LGBTQ+ people but those same LGBTQ+ people can’t use their first amendment right to speak out against them?

The party of hypocrisy knows NO bounds.

  27. petrovmendicant on

Just some of his more famous quotes:

    1. Said gun deaths are “unfortunately worth it” to preserve the Second Amendment.

    2. Called transgender identity a mental disease, needing “brain treatment.”

    3. Refused to use people’s correct pronouns: “I will not call a man a woman.”

    4. Demanded a nationwide ban on gender-affirming care.

    5. Quoted scripture about homosexuality as an “abomination” deserving death.

    6. Called Martin Luther King Jr. a “myth” and said the Civil Rights Act was a “huge mistake.”

    7. Promoted the “Great Replacement” conspiracy theory.

    8. Spread COVID-19 misinformation likening masks and vaccine mandates to “medical apartheid.”

    9. Suggested mass incarceration as a fix for the housing crisis.

    10. Advocated for public, televised executions even for children to watch.

    11. Dismissed Black competence and made demeaning statements about Black women:

He claimed that Michelle Obama and other supporters of affirmative action “lacked the brain processing power” to understand arguments on those policies . He also made undermining comments toward Black pilots, saying, “If I see a Black pilot, I’m gonna be like, ’Boy, I hope he’s qualified.’”

  28. BackItUpWithLinks on

    Wait.

    > explicitly states that a public institution of higher education cannot discriminate or retaliate against someone due to their views on “homosexuality, or transgender behavior,

So maga can’t retaliate against liberals who say it’s ok to be gay?

    > regardless of whether **that opposition** is motivated by religious or non-religious belief.”

Oh wait, it only protects people who are against lgbtq, so a law that only protects maga speech.

    What a bunch of assholes.
