It’s stuff like this that marks the NDP as a party that won’t ever get elected.

Read the room and start acting like you actually want power.

We are rejecting Palestinians in nearly the same way we rejected Jewish people prior to and during WW2. Meanwhile we have (morally correctly) been proud to host Ukrainian refugees.

    The racism is incredibly apparent.

Canadian study permits for international students have requirements, including ability to pay tuition and living costs and ability to speak English. If the Palestinian students meet these requirements, then by all means. If not, then this may not be a good fit.

In my opinion he’s wasting his time. The party doesnt have enough support for his messaging to gain traction. He needs to focus on bread and butter domestic issues that non current party supporters are passionate about currently and a line with the parties overall stance to enlarge his influence.

Can we please just have a proper left-wing party that focuses on the Canadian worker class? Trying to be the official party of Gaza/Palestine isn’t going to get the NDP elected. The issue of visas for Gaza residents is beyond our control anyway. A lot of the people that were approved for those family sponsorship visas are still stuck there.

Man I do not understand the NDP (and other leftists for that matter) and the compulsive obsession with this one particular foreign conflict. No matter how many times people beg them to stick to labour and domestic issues, they can’t help themselves.

Maybe MP Gazan should hire some students that are entitled to work in Canada? Seems pretty sus we need to urge action on party staffers.

People are calling this a foreign policy issue, but it isn’t

This is specifically about students admitted to Canadian universities not able to come to Canada, based at least in part on a genocide being waged against them that has destroyed their societal infrastructure

People are acting like caring about Palestinian children being murdered means you aren’t fit to govern Canada. This place is gross.

  10. Well damn Lewis, wasted no time sprinting into your first landmine.

This is so far down the priority list of domestic priorities. The NDP lost voters to the **CPC** of all parties. Why? Because the NDP lost sight and touch of domestic issues.

Get back to stuff like fighting algorithmic pricing. That’s something that I would welcome.
