      Honestly if he really doubles down on this, this makes Thomas dig in. He almost certainly will never retire. But I’d say this makes it less likely. Alito is still a question.

      If the Justices are too old for their job, then Trump is too old for his job, too. Trump is older than the Justices he is accusing of being too old.

      He should propose a constitutional amendment to put an age cap on them and the democrats will provide support. Just make sure the blue states don’t adopt it until after the midterms.

      67 is still the current retirement age. So, let’s make that the mandated government service retirement age too. Especially for elected officials and SCOTUS.

      Think of it in context – there’s a senior living home and grandpa #1 thinks grandpa 2 & 3 are too old to control his position on the community pudding committee. 4 years ago Grandma #1 didn’t retire from pudding allocation when she was in hospice and it caused major problems.

      Grandpa #1 wants all the pudding and Grandpa #2 and #3 are honestly, by record far better pudding advocates and make sure everyone gets access to pudding, plus think Grandpa #1 is too old to be head of the pudding comittee and should retire to a graceful, calm life in the pudding buffet wing of the home.

      Midterms are gonna need to get the legislative branch back to a Democrat majority and that majority is going to have to Merrick Garland all of Trump’s picks for this country to exist in 4 years.

      Basically, get rid of them and replace them with younger, more easily influenced people. Ideally before the midterms, since it is already pretty clear that his kind of reign of terror would not be possible afterward.
