      Aside from Bulgaria, I’m surprised about Australia. I know they’re generally considered a developed country, but I thought their economy was highly dependent on natural resource exports.

      What is their definition of advanced economy? One that outsourced most of production?

      Edit: I wasn’t that far. a nation characterized by high per capita income, developed infrastructure, and a high standard of living, generally focusing on services and high-tech industries rather than agriculture or basic manufacturing

      Surprised that none of the middle eastern states are classified as Advanced. Has anyone been to the Middle East? Dubai? Jordan? Qatar? If those places are not advanced, I don’t know what is. Also, Singapore doesn’t look like it made it either and that’s whack.

      Tbh I think advanced means most ppl work in services (banking, it, etc.) instead of farming or industry. But I’m just a random guy putting unverified thoughts on internet.

      You can be in France and South America at the same time? Or would it be more accurate to say you’re in part of the French Empire?

      If someone asks you what country you’re in and you’re in Hawaii you would say “the USA” would you say “France” if you were in French Guinana?

      IMF still classes Poland as Emerging and Developing and on par with Bosnia, Albania and Ukraine when literally every other major economic organization classes it as Developed for almost a decade now 🤣

      How are Bulgaria and Croatia advanced economies but Poland or Romania aren’t?

      Bulgaria is doing a lot worse than Romania and Hungary, Slovakia is doing a lot worse than Poland. This map is bullshit.
