Could just say middle class? Why are actors special.

It was my understanding that the US Government was paying him ten grand a year and would be for the rest of his fucking life.

Sell a house, or sell the home ? Different things !
If I have so sell one of my houses, then um that sucks. If I have to sell my home , that a bit more of an issue.

I sympathize, i really do. I was just thinking earlier today about being sick of seeing the same 50-100 actors in every goddamned thing. But also, them’s the breaks.

Middle class is being squeezed out everywhere.

He hasn’t had a film credit since 2018 and hasn’t been a regular on a tv show since 2019. At some point you’re just a regular person again and you have to get a regular person job.

Middle class in America is different to here in the UK I am guessing. Here it’s wealthy and established and very comfortable.

When you’re paying RDJ 90 million for dr doom the price discrepancies are disgusting

Actors aren’t receiving living wages, and something needs to be done. Unless you want nothing but AI slop or reruns we need to start paying actors more. It’s a wonder anyone even bothers with such a terrible industry where the top 1% make 99% of the profits.

Just wait till you hear about middle class musicians then, most of whom can’t own homes

There was a documentary some years back about character actors. Was really interesting how work seem to come in droves for a lot of them, but then abruptly the phone just stopped ringing.

Good for being candid about all this. It’s so easy to gloss of the realities of what actors have to go through.

Dude, you’ve aged out.
That’s why the roles you played at 25 and 44 are now going to 25-year-olds and 44-year-olds. Not to a 54-year-old man.
Even Hollywood Reporter hilariously used a photo of you from 2015 at their article, when you were still young and didn’t want to put the current 54-year-old you.
All the actors who have once become recognizable think that Hollywood will now invite them to projects and pay them big bucks until they’re 80. Then they wonder why the phone suddenly goes silent after 40.
There are too many actors. Everyone wants fame and easy money. And every year, thousands more are added to the current crop. Of course, there aren’t enough roles for all of you.
